  1. Liberals will claim that Venezuela is a noble experiment, thwarted by U.S. meddling. I don't know enough of the blow-by-blows in Venezuela to tell you, nor do I need Venezuela's example to know how deadly and dark the entire enterprise is, at its heart. It's just the latest flavor of people who love using force to impose their will, their vision, on everybody else. I've seen plenty of it in Fascist Italy, Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, Communist China, North Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, and elsewhere. When these holier-than-thou's get their teeth in the power structure, equality is achieved: Equal Misery for Most.
