Yes. What's funny is the guys who make the wild accusations are committing the exact thing they accuse others of doing. "Miscaptioned" is the term for when they use stock photos to illustrate their point, whether the photo has anything to do with the issue at hand or not. But when it's #walkaway, then instantly accuse of misleading and misrepresenting the (non)movement, with fake photos. It's very transparent, if you do any of your own fact checking. But a lot of lazy people who think they're very smart check 1 page of Google search results and Snopes, and pat themselves on the back for their due diligence. "Smart" people read the New York Times, which is to say, they're not really very smart. NYT has gone from left-wing paper of record to left-wing tabloid.

I know a number of lefties who LOVE Snopes, because they win so many arguments by appealing to the authority of Snopes. I always thought it was kind of fishy. And I know you can come out .5 truth value (mixed) for misleading or outright false claims, by looking for a tiniest particle of fact. And come out with mixed/false on an essentially true claim, by looking for the tiniest flag. IDGAF how FB runs their algorithm. I know I'll never be a customer, again, and how they disserve their customers is between them and their dumb-ass customers.

I've had FB debates with old lib friends who settled all arguments with Snopes.

I stopped watching Tom Cruise movies because of Scientology and his allegiance to them as a "celebrity Scientologist." He's either totally self-centered or an idiot.
