  2. I remember this happening my 8th grade year. It was during social studies. There was some commotion with the teachers in the hall for a second then our teacher came back into the classroom and turned on the news. She didn't explain why and the class was kinda confused. She had turned the news on shortly after the first plane and looked horrified. All the other students and I still didn't quite understand the severity of what was going on as we were young kids from the Midwest. We didn't know much about the world trade center outside of the movie Home Alone. Also our teacher looked shocked and wasn't saying anything. Then the second plane hit while we were watching the news live. The whole class dropped their jaws and gasped. It was pretty wild to see that live on TV. I couldn't imagine actually being there. Thank you for your service Rob.
