  1. I'm grateful to live in one of the few unified governments in the US and am currently getting therapy sessions and medication for free. The most I pay for any meds is $7-$9 and meds deemed lifesaving I get at no cost. It's also easy for anyone to apply for pell grants that cover the cost of college courses in the county I live in.

  3. @downix  I was raised around a bunch WW2, Korean war, and Vietnam vets who had all kinds injuries and PTSD. Then later on in my late teens my buddies were coming back from Afghanistan with serious PTSD, substance abuse, and physical injuries. I've always been taught to treat anyone with compassion and to be there for them in their worst times. My dad was in a coma for two weeks from a car accident caused by a truck running a red light and running over his car. My family and I stood by his side for the entire two weeks of his coma. Now he has a TBI, nerve damage, and PTSD. This doctor said he couldn't return to work and helped him get on disability. IDK it may have been the era I lived in. I hadn't heard that notion until recently since everyone drank the Kool aid of apathy.
