  13. 10-15k is killer for that engine, i have 1 with 170k km on it, rings changed at 130k cause someone did not change oil for 40k. after that car has been maintained very well. oil is changed at every 5k or in 6 months. in summer i use 10w60 and for winter i have 5w40. also i use 1/200 2t oil in gasoline, this engine loves 2t oil. getting atm avarage 10.3l/100 only short trips in city/ official is 12.4l :D. In 5k km i cant see any oil level drop also, like non. i have audi a3 8p quattro and for that car this motor is just perfect, so much low end power. and 18 years later this car still does it, new honda type r and gr yaris just cant keep up :D got it for 6k :D:D:D

  24. I have 2007 a3 and 2006 a4 both quattro. I feel good, i feel safe, i feel luxury in those cars. I tried new audis 2020+, they all feel now like sitting in a plastic bag... cant feel the love and care from human hand. Cause its not there anymore😢

In few years this car cannot get tehnical check passed beacuse of the underbody rust. And no one wants it now. He got to drive only 1,5 years. He bought it for 10k, now hes trying to get 8k, but people know allready, that toyota wont run 15 years at rustbelt. 1 year 2 k loss atleast, thats expensive. Way more expensive to maintain than my 2007 audi tdi 2.0. And its way slower, smaller, only fwd, body made like tin can, drinks gas like crazy, rust like hell and costs 2,5 times more than my audi😅

  40. 5w40 fullsynt is very good for most engines all over the globe. thin enough for cold start and thick enough at high-temp to protect turbo and lifters very well. also add 2t oil in your diesel and petrol, i reccomend 1-200. my 2007 audi a3 quattro, 2.0t fsi engine(bwa) sounds like its under the planket when 2t oil is in. hpfp is very happy :D. i drive mostly with cold engine, very short trips. Like 500m-2km trips in 30 and 50km/h speed limit and still getting better mpg that oem spec. atm soild avarage 10.5l/100km. official in city is 12.4l 100km. and ye my engine wont get even up the temp most of the times :D

  45. I bought 2006 audi a4 b7 2.0tdi, and i started putting money in it. Bought for 4k, now i have put 4k in and after another 4k i have car like new, reliable and bulit just for me ❤. for 12k its supreme car, fast and reliable. I dont like new ones😅

  46. Do you live in america? Ive noticed that american people are do stupid to use, maintain and fix german car. Thats why its happens in your country, if you treat your german well you can get allot for it even 20years later. If maintained and used properly, german cars will out run everything else😂 in estonia we drive all our germans 500000 - 1000000km and older ones even more. Toyotas are dieing off in 10 years, if you see 15 year old toyota alive its a mirricle, they all die before 400000km, because we have harsh climate.

  49. i have few simple tips, 1. add 2t oil to your gas/diesel, 2. use 10w60 racing oil for summer and 10w40 for winter, (reduces oil consumption and blowby, ingrease power and better effy at high loads) 3. change oil after every 5k/km or 6 months, 4. change your engine air filter always after 6 months or 5k/km if you have turbo engine, 5. let the turbo cool down after every trip for minimum 30sec, 6. if your engine has over 50k km on it, then flush it with thin oil. flush steps: 1 warm the engine, 2 let the old oil out and remove old filter, 3 put on new filter and add thin oil, like 0w20-5w30. then take it to short trip like 5 km push it for short, and then change the oil again. flush oil will be very dark, after that your oil will remain clean for long time, even in diesel.

  73. Little extra info for people, turbo dosen't make you engine unreliable or hard to fix. Putting crappy turbo on crappy engine with crapy hardware is what makes it unreliable. We have seen cars with turbo engines go way over 1 million, like wv group 1.9tdi/2.0tdi turbo engines are awsome😊

If these things cant be removed in your country legaly, then you have to clean your intake after every 80-150k and dpf filter to remain mpg and power. Big problems we have in car world, hope we will see better solutions in future. Thanks allot for your hard work.

  98. biggest problem with chains today is the thin oil, full of polymers that help to lubricate the engine. But the problem is that chain chops those polymers real fast and oil wont lubricate anymore. some type of the polymers get ripped apart in less that 200km/120mil

  102. ​ @sealight78 use 10w60 motor oil, put 80-100ml extra, change it regularly (5k) and add 1/200 2t marine oil to your diesel(saves pumps, reduces noise and engine wear). Listen cam and lifters time to time. But if oil is good and lifters are okei there will be no problems next 500k. After pushing it, let cool for atleast 30sek. Add catch can and clean it often. What oil pump shaft you have? If hex drive then get upgraded longer, stronger version and you wont have any problems.😊

And turbo lasted for 270k km and toyota knob looks like shit after 100k. and all those other weird problems like clutch dust blocking starter, things fall off under the car, soundproofing was melted by rain water 🤣, center console feels like it just sits there, no fasteners used, 10 year old toyota with 100k on it cant keep doors open anymore, window seals never wiped side windows when cycled, very very expensive to fix all that. and ofc it rusts like nothing else. so no point to even fix that crap
