Currency trading in Yuan isn’t viable, rouble is so heavily sanctioned and collapsing, the recent pivot is to conduct russian business transactions in crypto. So, Putin’s miscalculations and ongoing war have brought a situation where crypto use and mining in russia will rise steeply. True to form, Putin blames “the West” for crypto being a weapon against russia.
