@Normalguy1690 there are small pockets of older generation Estonians that either have fondness towards Soviet times and often with Russian relatives, or remember the Nazis as liberators. However after 1991 and final tanks leaving 1994 a new independent brave Estonia has grown, educated in its long history of occupations and looking to the future. Any country with such a long history of occupation has ageing citizens with traumatised memories and Stockholm Syndrome. The Victims of Communism Monument in Tallinn, with many others speak loudly about the disappeared and horrors of Soviet era.

Estonia is my new home, my partner's family are Estonian. The horrors of Soviet era are brutal, make no mistake - the Russian empire mindset in any iteration is the enemy of the modern world.

With Russia it has done this over and over again, around the world, and especially in Europe. There has been no reckoning and reset that Germany had after WWII. Now is time.
