Where can I get a copy of the syllabus he wrote? "Introduction to Chemical Engineering" Channing Robertson (Is not on Amazon, ebay, or Google books)

Too bad the videographer does such a poor job. Thousands of people could be getting a good intro to Chem E if somebody had noticed early on what a poor job was being done and easy it was to fix with a few words of advice, e.g. put the camera on what Professor Robertson is talking TO, not the professor himself.

TG for the video taping of this lecture. I wouldn't stand a chance without the rewind/replay feature. Thank you Stanford, YouTube, and Dr. Robertson (great lecturer!) (too bad the videography is so poor on the OTHer lectures)

poor videography, as usual.

Too bad the videography is so poor, (we don't need to watch the speaker speak (audio works for that) , we do need to see the slides, which the camera moves away from. The videographer thinks he's on a Hollywood movie set.

This is the 4th watching of this to try to "get it". You can tell students weren't getting either. If they didn't have the rewind/replay advantage of these videos, i don't see how they ever would. Obviously they're not going to be tested on this material- whatever. But iterative rewind-replay eventually gets the job done. Bravo Professor Channing! Bravo YouTube!

MIT's videos are useless manipulating fractions of courses. Public universities should have funding requirements that all their courses get Youtube-ed, with handout material published.

Too bad the camera doesn't stay on the slides (!) and instead unnecessarily follows the speaker. Only audio is necessary from the speaker, the visual is distracting.

Tip: in other words, min 31:30, the capillary will "suck" all fliud it can till osmotic pressure = fluid pressure and transfer stops, at 35 ml mercury.

Another "Too bad the videographer does such a poor job with the slides."

Too bad the camera doesn't just stay on the slides (!) and instead unnecessarily follows the speaker. Only the audio is necessary from the speaker. The visual is distracting.

you have to because the presentation is so poor, for whatever reason. the grad student should have all the lectures rehearsed instead. of winging it when needed. Easy to say, i know, but when you're paying "Stanford money" that's one of the things you should be getting.

Stupid comment.

Bravo. Min 5:00. I was wondering the exact same thing from the previous lecture.

Good thing this isn't Broadway. He'd fail as an understudy.

These should be available for all schools that receive tax money.
