  1. This is fascinating. Any chance you could run the same experiment with the towels being wet??? I know it's a bit of a stretch, but folks are making noise sheds for their backyard generators and they are naturally concerned about fire hazard. I'm just wondering if a few more decibels can be squeezed out of the towels if they were wet. What if soaked in some low-flamable oil, like glycerin???
