@gloriouslifeonwheels3621 hi glorious luv. Jan once again. Yep im 74 yrs. Old now. I cant wait until i can get my husband off the couch and go camping to be a nomad. Ive been in stinking apts. For 47 yrs. Now. Im sick and tired of. Helping the owner continue to over charge for the rent. All he does every 6 months is say the taxes is up so he needs to up on the rent. I called him out. I told him you steal from all of us. The taxes is not up on you cuz ive called to check on property taxes on apts. He is a liar and a thief. He was bad during the pandemic. He told us all if we cant pay th rent then move out. Will not give a good refrence to anyone. He is bad. We all here was half hungry. Had to eat with neighbors to have enough food to eat for the day. This is a senior living low income property. Everyone had to share there food to have a balanced meal. The owner is a demon. We can see it written all over his face. His actions speaks for himself. Seems like there are to many rich people thats a demon. Oh .the owner is a multi . millionare. He and his wife is the only owner of this place. They own other apts. To. Also owns different businesses to.

God is already blessing you both. You are now living in freedom. No rent to pay. You have extra money to buy exactly what you need when you need it. Ive lived in apts. For 47 yrs. Im tired. Im 74 yrs old now.2 things stopping me now. 1st my husband thinks im crazy for the idea of van life or to be nomads. I told him if you dont find a job in this 2 yrs. We will be homeless. The rent is going up each 6 mo. Or a year lease. We can practice now. He ssys to me are you crazy. I told him wait and see later. Oh. For protection buy a can of wasp spray. If you run across someone that tries getting smart with you. Give them a little drink of the wasp juice. That ought to keep them out of your way then start your car and leave. Besure to park facing. The street. Just drive off to another location. No problems. You go girls. Luv you both.

@hildejohnson7241 hi ms. Johnson. Yep you are so right. Just get out there and do it. It will cost about 4 to 6 thousand dollars for another engine. Talk to a good engine shop that has a.s.e. certified mechanics. And a excellent work history. Been around for a long time. Get the oldest mechanic there. Ask how many years experience they have. And free towing for them to do the work. Ive been through it to.how old is your vehicle. If its 12 yrs. Old then expect this to happen. But some vehicles run longer. Also get them to do a compression check. Its helpful to them. Its worth it. Should be reasonable in cost. Sometimes its better to buy a new vehicle and have the 36. 36. Bumper to bumper regular warranty. Take a man along with you to shop for a vehicle. It kinda looks better for you. Get a 6 cylinder engine. No turbo engine. Go join a credit union for a car loan. You save 1 or 2 percent interest. Better than a bank. Get the vin number for the c.u. they will tell you whst to pay. Deposit the check in your acct. Then go wherever. Then pay only a down payment. Dont never tell them you are paying cash. The price will go up. Your interest rate is your payments. When you get your 1st. Statement then pay the loan off. Besure not to tell anyone anywhere about this plan. You will be glad you did everything just right. Then reward yourself. This plan works for anything. @hildejohnson7241 oh. My. Im so sorry. I didnt know. I know what that is. Im on soc. Src. To. I make 1200. Monthly. I pray you have help. If my husband. Cant find a job within this 2 yrs. We will be homeless. The stinking rent keeps going up everytime our lease is up in apts. Ive lived in apts for 47 yrs. Now. Im so tired of them. The owner gets richer and the poor get poorer. Its like we cant get out of this rat trap. We are in a prison. We cant ahead. Everytime we try to ssve a little money in 6 mo. Lease they go up. All we all are doing is saving u p to pay rent. There is nothing left. If you know all about computers you can work from home.etc. you have a job. Here in dallas texas where i live the jobs are bad or very hard to get. Im a computer dummy. They are to expensive. And to sophysticated or. Complicated. Im 74 yrs. Old. Its to late for me. All my work history i wasnt required to work a computer. Its a distraction. Computers is wonderful but they should have a special place for them. I think a lot about what did the workforce do before computers was thought of. Those was the good ole days. @hildejohnson7241 hi ms. Johnson. Jan here. A 2004 suv. When you have a chance. Call a dealership. The same as your vehicle. Ask them in service dept. Who they recommend for very good engine shop. Then when you get ready to get the engine replaced ask them the price difference between doing a short block or replace the engine with a rebuilt one. I had a 1989 chevy. It had 187000.miles. I replaced it with a new one in 2005. The last engine g.m. had. The truck was a good one. I miss it. It was a regular cab. Long bed. So i had about 217000 miles when i had to give it up. It was past the warranty. In 2006 had the a.c. compressor all of it. Replaced when the new freon came out. That work cost me 1200.00. The new rebuilt engine would of cost me 6000.00. I just put new shocks and a tune up on it. The dealership did that. Oil change to. The engine later started to cut out bad and dying. A lot. The dealership was nice enough to come after me. They did a compression check free for me. Ive done business with them for 15 yrs. They was so very kind. About 2 momths later the drivers side window power motors went out. I spent 6 months trying to get it fixed. The warranty covered everything. The window could not be fixed. They replaced every part to the power motor.the dealership charged 300.00 for parts and labor. So i tried my best to keep the truck. Nobody had any idea why a new engine would play out with so little miles. I told darrell at the dealership i bet g.m. knew what the problem was but they wasnt talking. In 2016. I had the tune oil change and catalytic converter replaced. It didnt pass inspection. Well i had it. The poor truck was 26 yrs old. No dash lights at all. Passed inspection. Sure did run good. Got a new battery then. So in 2016. I needed the engine. A lady at church with 2 children had to park her car in the parking lot. Her honda civic played out. She donated her to carz for kids. She needed to get to work across town to pick up her check to go to store and pay the rent. She ask the preacher if he knew anyone that was selling a car. He said yes. So the preacher called me. Told me about mary needing help . her mother was not in good health at all. So i told the preacher about the truck. He said fine. He will take care of it. I met mary at the church. She almost passed out. She couldnt believe it. I gave her the keys and all the paperwork and all she did was pay for the title change over. She got donations from the church and got a new engine. She called me to thank me several times for the truck and will never forget my kindness to her. So to this. Day the truck is still running like a top. She loves that truck. The paint job looks bad. I told her not paint it. Someone will steal it. I als replaced the battery to before i donated the truck to mary. So i spent monies on cabs for one month. It totaled out to match a car payment. So my credit is bad. I got a nissan versa. No money down. Signed and drove off the lot. It was a new one. Later. After a year the a.c. compressor and everything to blew up. The dealership could not fix it.also 2 computers blew up to. So it was a lemmon. The factory paid off the loan. I went to get a pick up nissan frontier. Later my husband was out of work. Then i got in a raw deal with the lender on a bad contract thing. Alley finance ripped me off plus drained my bank acct. Om auto pay they didnt want to return my money. The bank told them they better return my money or a lawyer will be calling them. They did return my money. So later after i got the staements and 1st. Months payment or coupon book. I then called the up and volunteer repo the truck. So its no telling whatelse that lender would of done. My credit is still bad. But the finance man jonnathan was so kind to us. He went to another dealership and. With no money i got this 2019 mitz. Mirage g.4. Just 20.00 more than the versa.in car payments. So we needed this car badly. Car ins. Cost the same as the versa. The versa was a 2018 model. So my husband worked a little. After that. Still out of work. And the pandemic hit. Still out of work. 2 yrs. Now. He is a handyman and painter. Everyone is doing this work. Especially in groups. A few calls came in . a few people sak do you have a truck. We said no. We have a car. And have plenty of tools. They said how can you carry tools in a small car i said. We can. They said you need a truck . i said do you want us to build you a house or do some handyman work. Its our business to have a vehicle of our choice. You wont be maling the car payments. Oh but we can get a truck. But you will make the car payments and ins. To .they hung up the phone. Boy . what smart ellics. We are just mom and pop team. No apts is hiring either. Unless its in groups. They want the job done fast. We have been everywhere of our route. Nothing. I told my husband if you cant find work within this next 2 yrs. We will be homeless. This apt. Owner will never get our car. We will save money not paying rent. We can live around town pick out 7 places to sleep at night and 7 places daytime. We can fet a regular post office address and not a p.o. box.it cost about 125.00 for 6 months. I said we are saving money. I said lets go on a picknic and pack a bag for a few days . lets enjoy some freedom. He said are you crazy. I said lets practice being homeless. You might be suprised. You might enjoy it. We need to get prepared. No sense in waiting. Til 2 yrs. Is up. He said no and thats that. Our son helps us with grocery money. The rent will go up in august. I cant even get a job. The bills we have is very much needed. Before the jobs ran out contracted. We got the bills. Thank you for your time ms. Johnson.i certainly know where you are coming from. We love you for that. I plan on checking out the cost of a big step van. They are built solid. I dont want to worry about where i will park during a hail storm. I wont need much repairs to do. But the cost of the van is the problem. I dont know who to call to find out. I dont have a computer. Also no experience either. Dont know who to call or where to start. The size of the van would be the longest one like a ups. Truck. The big brown one. It has the perfect. Highth and can tow. Something like extra tools. And we just have to have stand up room. Also try to have a shower inside . i also want it insulated and sound proof. Also have some sort of perfect protection to prevent mold and condensation. This is a must to have. Cuz our homes is out in all 4 season weather. It sure would be a blessing if only my husband could understand. The only home we will ever have would be this little tiny house on wheels. So he is s o hard headed worse than stubborn. All i do is cry about him . he tells me i dont know what im talking about. I dont make any sense to live in a van. I told him okay mart guy. 1st you. Havent had a job in 2 yrs. My soc.sec. check isnt that much. But it passes barely monthly. We couldnt eat without our son helping. With groceries. And the rent is up now again. We just signed another years lease. So its 800.00 plus a light bill. Thats almost half my check. He is a handyman and painter for 30 yrs. He is contracted. But nobody is hireing hourly either. I told we can work on the road of happiness. We can get out of these apts. Keep our money for us instead of making the owner more rich. He said maybe i will get a job within a year. Everyone is working in groups. He did that and all his tools was stollen. We had to buy tools again. 2000 dollars worth. So he is contracted now. I told him if you dont get a job in this next year we will be houseless and homeless. He was quiet then. So. Ive got to get the prices and closest small town around the dallas metroplex.
