@peteschannel-14 That's patently absurd. Would you say the same about cats? Probably not. I love cats, but I don't love them that much. You must have a certifiably unhealthy obession with dogs to value their lives over that of a human child's. By the way, I hope you're vegan, because there is absolutely no ethical justification for valuing the life of a dog over the cows and pigs who were factory farmed and brutally slaughtered so you could have an unhealthy breakfast/dinner. Not from a consequentialist perspective, not from a deontological perspective, not from a virtue ethics perspective, not from a basic human decency perspective.
