Hey, if we allow civilians the right to own an ICBM, with some basic background checks to "ensure" they don't fall into the wrong hands (with loopholes), and nuclear war breaks out, who have we to blame except the person who launched the first nuke? Because obviously the only way to prevent that from happening is to address mental health, not something as crazy as, I dunno, PROHIBITING PEOPLE FROM OWNING NUCLEAR WEAPONS. No no, a solution that extreme would never work.

So you can't smoke weed, you can't exercise any reproductive self-determination, and you can't access basically any basic social safety net services such as housing and healthcare without money, but you're free to get shot in the leg and back as many times as you want for opening the wrong car door.
