@Jam Most of the developed world has an "atheist" or secular justice system, and have far lower crime rates than we do. Oh, and they have also abolished the death penalty. But surely the problem must be that we don't invoke this or that deity's name or some holy book enough, right?!!

You have to be joking. 🤦‍♂️ We vote these people in because they will preserve our rights (abortion, contraception, gay/interracial marriage, etc.) and have the guts to address existential threats to humanity (climate change), not because they're "soft on crime."
