  1. I'm sure there's no surplus of doctors in India. 1.3 billion people, there has to be room somewhere for more doctors. It's not like your degree just goes away when you get deported. Your skills can be useful elsewhere. Besides the point, I know. But something to take note of nonetheless.

  2.  @dannnyyang  Because those jobs could go to people who are native US citizens. Give people an incentive to go into the field by not making it so competitive.

  4.  @ishan849  Well that's an easy solution: we train more of them. The economic incentive is there. I know at least where I live Nursing is an extremely competitive field. Shouldn't we prioritize natural-born US citizens becoming nurses before we invite immigrants to come in and take those jobs away from them?
