  1. The professors can't be paid THAT much to necessitate such a high price tag. Especially not if they're teaching in the range of 50 to 200 students at one time. This is just ridiculous. I'm currently attending a community college in my area that is VERY fairly priced, but I'm somewhat worried about transferring even to a public institution. I understand if the college needs the money for building new complexes, computer labs, etc. but most often that is NOT what they're doing. Where, then, is this money going?! Why does it cost an arm and a leg to go to college now when it was affordable for just about everyone in the '80's? Why does it have to be my generation??
