It was never supposed to "stop" you from catching the virus. However, it is designed to protect you from severe illness, hospitalization, and death --- and considering that studies have demonstrated that it offers over 90% protection, I'd say it's doing remarkably well. The ignorance on display here is astounding. May I suggest you educate yourself and read a book by a professional immunologist, Dr. Paul Offit perhaps?
