  1.  nostalgia cartoons  If the attack was unprovoked, which it seems to have been in this case, that dog should definitely be euthanized. Attacking little children at will is unacceptable. How would you explain the death of a child to his or her parents by your dog if it is known to have a history of maiming children? There would be no excuse.

  2.  nostalgia cartoons  You can't predict a dogs behavior. If the owner doesn't want to put it down, at the very least it should never be allowed to go near children ever again. Because if it did attack and mortally wound ANOTHER child, that would be a tragedy that could have been avoided. Human life comes before that of beast.

  3. That kid probably didn't even think twice. Something about the unmatured brain that can make them so brave and selfless... truly wonderful, the mind of a child is. That dog should be put down.
