  1. Welcome to the USA. Sadly, this is not uncommon. The 2nd Amendment is the stupidest idea our Founding Fathers ever had. EDIT: I'm making this change a year later because I've altered my stance on this issue. After reading both the Constitution of the United States of America and George Orwell's 1984, and learning just how oppressive government can be, I completely understand why the Fathers of this country wrote this Amendment into our Constitution. As of now, I'm prepared to defend the people's right to bear arms and enjoy other freedoms with my life.
