For a great resource to consult on this topic, I would highly recommend Cynical Theories by mathematician and atheist activist James Lindsay (and Helen Pluckrose) --- favorably reviewed by men like Steven Pinker. Without a question postmodernism is a cancer on our society, with such claims as there are no objective facts but only different "interpretations," and this is just the latest incarnation of it. Frankly, it doesn't hold a candle to goals of the traditional secular liberal ideology, including that humans are more than capable of creating an equal and just society where skin color doesn't matter any more than whether you are blonde or brunette. Eventually we must move beyond a system where the shade of your skin actually means something (other than perhaps where your ancestors happened to settle). And I don't see that ever being achieved in a postmodernist world. Just teach our nation's history as objectively as possible --- the good and the bad --- and move on. If this is the direction the New Left is headed, I am deeply worried.
