Ah, see, that's the Argument from Evil. And the best theological minds from Saint Augustine and Thomas Aquinas onward were unable to provide a satisfactory refutation of it. You hit the nail on the head.

Lol, I wouldn't doubt if some of them were QAnon 🤣🤣🤣

If he is so powerful, why does he need uneducated dimwits to type messages in the YouTube comments section to tell me this?

Nah, I like the other obscure religious figure from ancient times whose existential evidence is so flimsy that historians would laugh and throw it out if applied to anyone with even a modicum of historical significance.

@mikeboydus And you seem to forget that the Greeks pioneered science (back then it was called "natural philosophy"), and their advancements were stalled for no less than a thousand years of extreme piety and thoecracy known as the Middle Ages. It was only after the Reformation and the subsequent decline in Church authority that science was really allowed to take off. And let's not forget that the Muslim world also underwent a brief renaissance in its early days, before they went the way of Europe and all investigation into how the world worked was deemed "heretical." Religion has always been a hindrance to scientific advancement, and it always will be. Any other "interpretation" of the past belies a level of insincerity or ignorance about historical truths that would embarass even the most amateur student of recent human history, especially that of the West.

Prayers don't work. I don't know how many studies on intercessory prayer you need to see before this becomes a fact in your mind. Accept reality and move on. It's time to put an end to all the fairy tales.

Who sent the tornadoes? When a little boy is found alive deep in some of the rubble, it's a miracle and an "Act of God." But no one ever asks why the tornadoes shredded everything in the first place. Or if they do, they blame it on a concept of "sin" or a "fallen world" that won't disappear no matter how pious the world is. This is how you play tennis without the net. If GOD is responsible for everything that happens (with a possible exception for human free will), then GOD sent these tornadoes. There is no escaping this. The Argument from Evil is the strongest it has ever been. "God works in mysterious ways" doesn't cut it for those who lost close relatives or friends.

Then you have nothing at all.
