@JamesSmith-db4xd Well, China is still run by the Chinese Communist Party. True, they aren't real communism, but they're about as close as it gets. And the U.S. is most definitely not socialist. If you want to see what successful socialism looks like, pay a visit to Scandinavia.

@krnpowr Um no, because they're not a democratic country. 🤣🤣 But they are in cahoots with Iran, and are actively trying to establish a military presence in the Middle East with their partner Somalia. They're not exactly perfect angels either (especially when you consider the numerous human rights abuses), but I would have to agree that the U.S. is worse when it comes to foreign policy.

@joshuahd1719 Well true, but I suppose that's a failure of Marxist theory more than anything else. He predicted the capitalistic system will collapse, and so far it hasn't really done so in any country that has achieved sufficient economic development. And where it has been tried, it's failed nearly every time. China is somehow managing to make it work, but I (along with most economists) suspect it's due to a more tolerant attitude towards free market principles since the catastrophe that was Mao's Great Leap Forward.
