Sara Mill Biden can nominate whoever he wants. Anyone crying foul that he's selecting on the basis of immutable characteristics better not lean Republican. Ronald Reagan specifically selected the first female nominee to the Supreme Court (Sandra Day O'Connor), his successor George H.W. Bush replaced the first African-American Justice (Thurgood Marshall) with Clarence Thomas, and just over a year ago President Trump made a shortlist of female judges to fill Ruth Bader Ginsberg's seat, ultimately deciding on Amy Coney Barrett. Well, two can play at that game.

@antoniostorcke HAHAHA you don't seriously believe that, do you? Thomas was chosen because he's a black conservative, nothing more. George H.W. Bush chose him to succeed our nation's first Black Justice, Thurgood Marshall. And let me tell you, he isn't half the man he replaced. There were FAR more qualified judges to choose from than him. As Cornel West has written, "mere graduation from Yale Law School does not qualify one for the Supreme Court." (Race Matters, 1993) He had an undistinguished career, period. Honestly, how am I supposed to argue with such idiocy? 🤦‍♂️
