One nation indivisible. The phrase "under god" was a later interpolation added during the Red Scare in the 1950's, and I utterly reject it as part of the official Pledge as an American citizen. This country was founded on being tolerant of people of all creeds (read the First Amendment of our Constitution), and that includes those with no such belief at all. I'm one of them, and so was Thomas Paine (a Deist, who was hardly "religious" in the most widely accepted meaning of the word), W.E.B. DuBois, Robert G. Ingersoll, Clarence Darrow, Samuel Clemens, Madalyn Murray O'Hair, and many other great men and women throughout American history.

Yeah, I've asked myself why I exist; and my parents answered it for me (in too much detail, I might add). As for why anything exists, the closest we will ever get to understanding the truth is through science. Thanks to science, we know the age of the Earth and the Universe to 2 decimal places. If there is anything we can be certain of, it's that superstitious ancient Near East desert-dwelling goat herders who were absolutely convinced the Earth was shaped like a pancake did not unlock the deepest mysteries to the universe and our existence, with a whole bunch of inspiration from coexisting religious practices and ideas (animal sacrifice, the existence of good and bad spirits, a universal moral law) and fairy tales to go along with it.

What the left is doing to America? You mean trying to catch us up with the rest of the developed world, especially Western Europe? How about reforming the system from one in which the wealthy and the elites reap all the benefits to one where the PEOPLE are cared for, with free healthcare, free childcare, free community college, and a generous welfare state paid for vis taxes on the wealthy and most profitable corporations LIKE EVERY OTHER FRICKIN' 1ST WORLD COUNTRY ON THE PLANET?!!!

Wow, coercing people through fear. What kind of deity expects people to worship him based on no evidence whatsoever and then punishes them most cruelly if they refuse, either because they have evaluated the evidence using the brain they were provided and concluded that he does not exist, or because they have literally never been informed of the possibility that he might exist (the unevangelized)? Oh yeah, the deity of religion, which is to say a MAN-MADE one. So ask yourself this: why do you dedicate so much of your time (of which we are given precious little of) worshipping and preaching about a moral monster who would send the benevolent Hindu in India to hell for all eternity but give a serial killer like Jeffrey Dahmer a seat next to his throne? I would very much like to hear your answer.
