  4. YES! You are exactly right. Ideally the court should be 4-4 and have a centrist who favors precedent be the tiebreaking vote. Unfortunately, this isn't possible unless one of the conservative justices are replaced, which could take a decade or more. But it could happen RIGHT NOW if Biden twists arms and gets Congress to pack the court with two more Justices, bringing the divide to 6-5 with John Roberts as the tiebreaking vote.

  5.  @Nxt6  Yep. An Amendment to the Constitution could make this possible. I would also limit the number of Justices on the bench in the same Amendment to prevent the Court from being further politicized.
