@justayoutuber2573 Ostensibly yes. But you never hear ABC promoting a product designed to empower young white men now do you? Why is that? I thought we were all equal in the US of A? Apparently, the media doesn't think so and they want YOU to believe that as well. Now if you don't mind, I'm gonna go back to watching Officer Tatum.

@justayoutuber2573 Okay I am beginning to understand what you mean. I am all for bringing forward more diverse characters in entertainment, not necessarily for the sake of virtue-signalling but to even out the score if you will to give these folk someone to identify with. A good example of this would be Princess Leia and Lando Calrissian from Star Wars, who may appeal to young women and people of color. They weren't there just to make the studio, Lucasfilm, look virtuous but to be good characters who contribute something to the story that happened to be female or black. I don't have a problem with that at all. My issue is with the media constantly running these stories to the point that it becomes more akin to propaganda than actual news. We get it: women, people of color, LGBT people, and all other "underrepresented" groups deserve a place in our culture as well. But endlessly shoving it in our face is getting rather irritating. There are other stories that deserve attention and this is what you're focusing on? At least try to split the difference.
