  1. MAXIMUM praise for that hero officer who was in the right place at the right time and took appropriate action! This could've been much, much worse if he hadn't taken out the shooter as quickly as he did. That said, we can not rely on such fortuitous circumstances as law enforcement personnel being nearby to save people's lives. We MUST demand action! Have we not had enough? Both universal background checks and the assualt weapons ban -- previously enacted in 2004 -- are non-starters for elected Republicans. That HAS to change!
