You can't, because your entire ideology is grounded on cherrypicking the worst parts of the Bible to maximize human misery (like despising gay people and ignoring the plight of others because they're not Christian or they will be rewarded in the afterlife), and discarding the rest, like caring for the downtrodden and selling all your possessions to give to the poor. Now the latter the kind of Christian I can respect -- somebody like Cornel West, perhaps.

jj ss Yeah, we care about things like public health, preventing gun violence, protecting the environment and ensuring sustainability, and fighting the needless suffering of other sentient beings. Also, keeping church and state separate, just as the Founders intended. "Fascist" you say? Guilty as charged. 🙄

jj ss Fun fact: The "fetus" cannot feel pain until 18 weeks gestation, unlike the MILLIONS of cows and pigs we factory farm and then slaughter ALIVE, which suffer incomprehensibly. Admit it: You just care about maximizing human and animal suffering, and forcing women to give birth to children she can't take care of and otherwise could have aborted before they had even developed a nervous system is just one method of achieving that. Absolutely despicable.

@ht-sneakers80 There is no such thing as a "right to life" when you a) can't feel pain (let alone sentient), or b) have no sense of your past or your future and therefore have a will to keep on living. Thank goodness we still have people like Noam Chomsky around, who grew up in the middle of the Great Depression and came of age during World War II and who understands what it takes to make the world a better place.

@thomasgreene4709 Do you care that 45,000 Americans die each year because they lack health insurance? Or all the starving homeless who can barely feed themselves? Or the failure to extend the child tax credit, which has sent child poverty skyrocketing? Or how about all the innocent civilians we slaughtered in our pointless war campaigns overseas? And don't even get me started on the world's poorest citizens, whether it's the fact that we fund and arm Saudi Arabia, who is actively carrying out a genocide in Yemen at this very moment, or the sanctions we have on Afghanistan, putting tens of millions at risk of starvation, or the fact that we donate far less as a proportion of our GDP in foreign aid to assist the worst off in our world. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention our other ally in the region, Israel, which is an apartheid state illegally occupying foreign territory and has indiscriminately slaughtered innocent Palestinans, repeatedly showing a complete and utter disrgard for human life, and who we fund and arm to the teeth. So please, don't tell me that it's the Democrats who are pro-death, if you're willing to admit that one other major political party in America is more culpable for these atrocities.
