  1. Everyone knows that a gun ban in the U.S. won't do anything. There's already too many of them out there. They would have to violate practically the entirety of the Bill of Rights to create meaningful and long-lasting change regarding gun violence. And we better hope that that doesn't happen anytime soon. As Benjamin Franklin once said, "Those who would trade freedom for a little temporary safety deserve neither." This isn't a political position, but a philosophical one that is at the core of the United States and how our nation governs itself.
