@presence9745 Pedestrians only have the right-of-way at marked and unmarked crosswalks. That, was not a crosswalk. That was a clear case of jaywalking (well, jayrunning), which is illegal. Still doesn't give you the right to hit them, though.

@presence9745 To prevent this from happening, there should be heavier penalties for people caught jaywalking across busy city streets. An infraction is not nearly severe enough.

We get all kinds of stupid people in California. Drivers really need to be on the lookout. Many of them are insurance scammers.
