Dude it's worse than you think. These courses often have long distances between the holes, not even including the holes themselves. I want to see you try to play your best round while carrying a 40 pound bag walking a 8,000-yard long course or more in 80-90 degree heat. Go ahead, film yourself the entire way. I'll be laughing my head off.

@minim6981 The golfers chose to carry their own bags? That's one hell of a sacrifice...

@kohlcooke8789 You know there are pull carts, right? Something a little less strenuous than putting a huge bag on your shoulder and getting scoliosis? That's what I use. I hate riding in a cart.

I would not want to be a professional golfer right now. Carrying my own bag, which can weigh upwards of 40 or 50 pounds? No thank you, not in a million years. 3 club golf is how I'm playing if that's the case. My driver, an iron and a putter.

@ianalan4367 I can imagine that happening. I think the pros would be better off taking 2 or 3 clubs instead of the entire bag.

@minim6981 Nobody forces you to go to work either. Yet you choose to do it. Why?

@minim6981 Okay and I'm supposed to argue about golf with a 5th grader? Kid, I've been playing golf for almost 10 years. That's longer than you've been alive. I think I know what I'm talking about.

@Xavier Walsh You really think golfers need conditioning? 🤦♂️

@minim6981 Who's crying? They just have my sympathy, I wasn't implying that I was crying for them. Golf is an essential activity for those who need exercise and fresh air. Taking a golf cart is not exercise, I'll admit. Walking the 8,000 yard course is exercise, even without carrying or pushing a bag. Sacraficing a caddy at some of those country clubs is brutal. It's about five times worse when it's hot.

@motorhead1884 Golf courses are parks in a way. They provide a means of escape for people to enjoy nature and get outside for a little while. Not all people see it that way of course, but that's how I think of it. It's maintained grass in an artificial or real natural environment, usually within a populated area which is kind of the definition of a park.
