Why didn't they just tackle him to the ground? Why let him walk all the way to his vehicle where he's hiding who-knows-what? Common sense ain't so common anymore... 🤦‍♂️ Also, to survive several gunshots in the back this guy must be an absolute UNIT!

@toddj552 Um wow, that was a comment. I see what everyone is saying, the shooting WAS justified... however, I was analyzing what happened BEFORE the shooting, and I can't wrap my head around why the cops wouldn't tackle and arrest somebody who is resisting arrest. The idea is to PREVENT this kind of situation from occurring to begin with. I see a lot of similarities between this and the shootings of people like Rayshard Brooks and Daniel Shaver: both of them could have been avoided if police were smarter about their handling of the suspect. In Shaver's case, why the heck would they make him crawl across the floor like that? Why not just run up to him when he's lying on the ground with his arms outstretched and cuff him? And with Brooks, the cops failed to arrest him properly and he escaped with one of their tasers. And look what happened. There will always be people who fight the police when they're being detained. The solution is modifying police procedure to avoid these tragic situations.
