@selms22 There is no such thing as "inspired by god," because "god" does not exist. Now, if this book of yours (whatever it is, so long as it's ancient and it's considered "holy") told us how to perform organ transplants instead of circumcisions and gave us instructions on multivariable calculus to advance our knowledge in physics instead of how to sacrifice goats, then I might actually take it seriously. There is nothing in there that couldn't have been written by superstitious ancient Near Eastern peasants, and a lot that only could have been written by such primitive peoples (such as multiple allusions to the Earth being flat, stationary, and at the center of the universe), and that should concern you. Deeply.
