Why don't you ask if donating plasma shortens or completely eliminates any chance at immunity? Is it because you don't want your audience to know the answer?

@game2game275 But there are reports from South Korea I believe of possible instances of re-infection. There's a good chance immunity doesn't last very long (especially because the virus mutates), and I think donating antibodies would only shorten that period.

@game2game275 Because they might die anyway? Imagine this scenario: someone comes down with the virus and spends a couple weeks at home fighting it off. They make a full recovery and now (presumably) have some immunity. Now, suppose he/she went into a clinic to donate his or her plasma, and then became re-infected. His or her plasma may be used to save someone else's life, which is amazing. Until we consider the possibility that now BOTH of them are at risk of re-infection, and now they BOTH get sick again and die. Who wins? Absolutely nobody. I'm not asserting this as scientific fact, but I do believe it might be possible and that's why I'm very worried about the effectiveness of this treatment.
