So how do you feel about war, drone bombing innocent civilians, allowing 45,000 Americans to die every year due to a lack of health insurance, child poverty, access to weapons that k-ll people on a mass scale, mandating life-saving vaccinations, paid maternal leave for work, or unions/higher wages and earning enough to make a decent living? How many of those things do you care about??

  4. @J L The fetus has no capacity to make a decision. While it resides in its mother's body, it's "interests" (if it even has any) by no measure supersedes the interests of the mother, including bodily autonomy. I'm glad to have been born into a family that a) wanted me, b) is financially stable enough to adequately care for me, and c) I wasn't thrust into our woefully inadequate foster care system and raised by people who aren't my biological parents. If any of those three conditions were met, I would rather have not been born at all.

  8. Sure do. They can't feel pain before 18 weeks. Their lives mean nothing. Everyone deserves to be born into a loving and financially stable home, not into destitution and/or a dysfunctional family.
