  2. Ā Zu MelĀ  The electoral college is all that matters. It's what gives each state more of a vote, and minorities a voice in politics. If you prize the minority vote, then you won't want a system that elects the President via popular vote in a country that's 70% white.

  4. Ā @lukamina7586Ā  Exactly. The majority in the cities don't get to dictate the lives of the people living in the other NINETY-SEVEN percent of the landmass in the country. It gives rural voters a chance to be heard. If you don't like it, go move somewhere else. But keep in mind that without it, all candidates would have to do to win is appeal to the needs of white voters and no one else. If anything, it DIMINISHES the power of white voters because minority votes are often needed to win swing states.

It's a documentary explaining WHY we have the electoral college and why it is more democratic than a popular vote. Watch it and get back to me. Don't listen to my opinion, listen to THE EXPERTS.

  6. Ā @lukamina7586Ā  Right, until you consider that California has more electoral votes than any other state at 55, while Wyoming only has 3. That is a MASSIVE difference in an election only worth 538 total. Also, minority votes are needed to win key swing states like Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Nevada, and others. If you total them together, it is all but IMPOSSIBLE for a Presidential candidate to win without any minority support whatsoever. If you watched the documentary, this would be obvious to you. If you knew ANYTHING about the Electoral College, this would be obvious to you. But because you haven't, and you have proven yourself to be a complete dunce, I won the debate and you don't know anything. Go do some research next time before starting an argument with somebody.
