I agree, MDMA or psilocybin are probably better alternatives. Even heroin is better in many cases (as long as you don't take too much). If you don't believe me, ask yourself this: A guy is being unruly in the stands of a baseball game. Which is more likely: he's high on an opioid/ecstasy or he's drunk? I think we all know the answer to that. Not even marijuana has the same effect. But the Bible does explicitly endorse the drinking of alcohol in places (e.g. the Eucharist). Everyone get drunk on Jesus!!
