I'll add on to this: a rancher in Wyoming working by himself does NOT need to wear a mask! What's good for the big cities is not always good everywhere! It should be up to the local leaders to decide whether they should issue a mask mandate and enforce it. Also, do you really think that people are going to wash their cloth masks each time they wear them?! Or what about single-use surgical or N95's, do you think they are really going to wear a new one each time? Especially that rancher in Wyoming I was talking about? Give me a break.

@victorybeginsinthegarden Okay, I'll agree with that. But it should be up to the business to decide what safety measures they decide to implement, both to protect their employees and their customers. By a "national mask mandate" we are talking about ALL public lands. That is tyrannical.

@JoleneKent2025 I think the seatbelt law is wrong too. If people want to assume extra risk, they should be free to do that so long as they aren't putting anyone else's lives in danger. The mask, though, is better left to local leaders as it varies from state to state, county to county, and city to city. Like I said, the guy walking in a park by himself with absolutely no one else near him should not have to wear a mask. And citing him for that is purely tyrannical.

@calvinmyers9197 Wow. So being opposed to a national mandate has brought about this much hatred then huh? Have you seen parts of this country? It's not all New York and Los Angeles. There are a LOT of wide open spaces for people to socially distance themselves. Also, I don't believe in "god" so don't try that argument on me either, it won't work.

@martinweihrauch2379 How does that endanger others? If you're sitting in the front seat, you'll only fly through forwards. I never made the argument that it doesn't suck, but people should be free to assume that risk.
