  1. Cities suck. Currently living in a town with <10,000 people right now, but my ideal living situation would be on a ranch where my closest neighbor is over a half-mile away and the nearest town is about 20 minutes up the road with a population of around 20,000. Unless you're into huge events and gatherings, or need top-notch medical care or a high salary (which is spent on high mortgages or rent anyway), avoid cities at all costs. I've been to San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas quite a bit; none of them offer me anything more than what I just described.
