Wrong. The first priority of government is to protect the rights of its citizens. The second priority is ensuring their security without infringing on those rights.

@kimjongfun5427 True, as a Libertarian I disagree strongly with bailing out large corporations at the expense of small businesses, and spending billions on the military that could instead be used on a social safety net, paying off national debt, a surplus, etc. However, on abortion I take a more pro-life position (any reason at all before the 20th week, nothing except the mother's life being threatened afterwards) because in my view, the direct right to Life (i.e. not murdering others) supercedes the right to Liberty.

Well we know one thing for sure: lockdowns aren't good for the economy. The longer we stay shut down, the worse it'll get. I think we can scrape by without concerts, theme parks or major sporting events, but forcing smaller businesses to close who don't get a lot of people in close proximity of one another was a very bad idea. The repercussions of that on the economy at large will be much more devastating than the small amount of increased spread that would have resulted from staying open, assuming everyone follows social distancing guidelines.
