  1. Big deal. Most cops aren't going to fire on their own citizens anyway. Even if they won't face legal consequences, most of them still have a human conscience. These are the people they are supposed to serve and protect, their job is to weed out the dangerous ones to keep the rest safe. And if that person is carrying an assault rifle, they're gonna need something to protect themselves and fight with. If anything we should feel more protected that police have access to all this equipment, not less.
