  1. The difference in motivations between whistleblowers like Edward Snowden and the Trump whistleblower is striking. Snowden acted like a true hero when he leaked information about government spying to the media, which would have otherwise gone unnoticed for (presumably) a long time afterward. In this new case, the worst that would have happened is government corruption during the Obama administration would be investigated, and Joe Biden may be discredited. No government spying, but hinderance of a government corruption investigation rather than the revealing of one is all that came of it. All it revealed was a Presidential abuse of power, and even that is debatable. The circumstances of this "impeachable" offense, as the media likes to call it, are so trivial in comparison to real scandals like Watergate. We need more people who will come forward with evidence that the government is stripping the people of their civil liberties, and this is the best you got? Come on.
