  1. There should be a middle ground so that people can purchase a gun without having to forfeit their social media passwords. There needs to be a way that authorities can review an individual's social media history WITHOUT sacrificing total privacy. Doesn't sound too out-of-reach, now does it? Because I agree 100% that a person's social media can be an indicator of whether they intend to commit violence. Even then, though, only the most extreme cases should be subject to rejection, and it should not discriminate based on a political stance or because they have at one time asserted some mild hatred towards a particular group of people (i.e. Jews).
