  1. The long-term goal is to switch to clean, renewable energy in the future which in turn can power all vehicles through the electric grid. This isn't possible for cars with traditional combustion engines. As of now, they can only run on gasoline because that's what they were designed for. It's the flexibility of electric-powered cars that makes them so promising. This video misses the point.
