  1. Two things must be pointed out. Number one: Yes it brought prosperity, but it also resulted in extreme wealth inequality. We have people who literally can't even afford a pair of shoes, and then we have those who can't decide if their private jet should be gold-plated or not. See the problem? Number Two: Can't some of the so-called "increase" in GDP per capita be explained by inflation? More money available, more wealth for everyone. Unfortunately, that also means less purchasing power. I agree capitalism has done us a lot of good, but this video in particular seemed to present it from a very one-sided point of view. That is not going to be enough to impress our leftist friends.

  2.  @Williamatics  Right, but I'm just talking about here in the United States. The amount of money someone earns isn't exactly proportional to how hard they work nor the difficulty of the job itself. Instead, the wealthiest people usually earn their fortune by taking risks, and those risks paying off. Sadly, for a much larger subset of the population, they don't.
