@nusdrapoel897 He pulled us out of the Great Depression (something Hoover failed miserably at) and led us through the Second World War. That usually places him in the top 5 of most historians' Presidential rankings, regardless of whether they agree with his policies or not.

What about all the public works programs that supplied thousands of young people with jobs and boosted American morale? FDR's policies bordered on Socialism, but there's no denying he loved America very much. Unfortunately we can't say the same about the modern Democratic party...
