  1. It's hard to argue that in today's world, $7.25/hour is slave wages. Good luck paying for GROCERIES with that kind of money. These big businesses should be compensating their employees fairly if they can afford it (as admitted in this video). $15/hour is not wholly unreasonable for Walmart or McDonald's or Starbucks. Bigger profit margins = more pay for the workers which means more people who want to work for your company, ultimately leading to expansion and dominance in the industry. Workers bear out the consequences of a failing business too: they get LAID OFF. A business cannot survive without its employees, therefore it's only fair that they receive a livable wage in return. Go ahead, tell me that I'm wrong.
