@is44ct37 I don't see how arresting people for walking on the beach or letting their child go out and play at their friend's house is "doing your job" as a police officer. Neither of these things are crimes. If you're arresting people who haven't committed a crime, or without probable cause of having committed one, then you aren't fulfilling your duties as an officer. Also, this cop in particular was not refusing to do his job, he was simply bringing attention to the injustice that has been done by other cops in his home country. That should NOT be a terminable offense. It's nowhere close.

@is44ct37 He probably did. But last I checked, all officers must take an oath to UPHOLD the Constitution of the United States of America. Enforcing laws that so BLATANTLY violate those rights granted to us by that VERY DOCUMENT would mean he has to choose between blindly following orders OR keeping true to his oath and NOT overstepping his bounds as an officer! That is a choice NO COP IN THIS COUNTRY SHOULD HAVE TO MAKE!! (Sorry for the all caps, this issue really has me fired up.)

We need JOB SECURITY! I'm sick and tired of people being fired for speaking their minds (against the narrative) and being punished for it! This should NEVER happen in America!

THIS is why we need job security! So shit like this doesn't happen! Also, many police departments are corrupt and absolutely ready to overstep their power at any time! These are two issues conservatives need to shift their focus towards and support!

Too often the right favors big corporations and religious morals over personal freedoms. (Examples: the Federal Marriage Amendment and the PATRIOT Act.) They can also be too nationalistic for their own good, hence their being war-hungry. (Examples: the Vietnam and Afghan wars.) That is why I'm a libertarian.
