  1. In this scenario, hopefully the Chinese people would realize their oppression and refuse to fight a war for their government in large numbers. In this case, it might escalate to a full-scale revolution and possibly civil war. The U.S. would likely then supply the rebels with their much more advanced military technology, and in the end the Chinese may be successful in creating a democratic government. At least that's the hope... There are so many ways this could go wrong.
