  1. I’m in the UK and worry about being broken into because of my family. Except we get charged for hurting the burglar. People can get shotguns and semi-automatic rifles legally if you try, and have no criminal history. But only for hobbyists, hunting and the target range. If you use one for self defence you’re going to jail. Gun laws aren’t really a Right or Left Wing issue here as far as I can tell.
