  1. I think it does only for those that want it to be that way. If my granddaughter married a good man and stayed home to raise a child (she was abandoned by her mother) I would be every bit as proud of her as I am today in her career helping displaced people get jobs and homes.

  2. Huh  @adammckee3496  I never thought of at that way. Kind of goes with my frustration seeing low level workers on the job on Labor Day while executives have a three day weekend. Context and perspective is everything.

  3. Another boomer here @posterlion . It is fun to look back and think "Man were we dumb." It is scary to look at those of a comparative youthful age today and think, "Man we were never that dumb." At least there are some sprigs of hope. Be a blessing, brother boomer.

  4. Wow. Well, I have to give Gen Z credit for recognizing the benefits of mom at home. I grew up with that as the norm and am sure it kept me out of a lot of trouble. Now, we need to get young men to man-up. Oh, it is not a subservient role. Men have come to respect it. BTW four year college in most cases is an expensive scam. Learn a trade.

  5. My wife and I were white collar movers in the 1980s and 1990s. Losing jobs in 2008 made us more blue collar. Brought us closer to one another and to God. A complete lifestyle change an no regrets. BTW we raise our granddaughter who ended up far more grounded than our late daughter or our depression haunted son.
